Artificial intelligence is already being used in school districts and promises to have a significant impact on education, potentially changing how students learn, how teachers teach and how school districts operate.
As artificial intelligence becomes a more integral part of student’s lives — and future careers — it is important to understand the basics of AI, so that board members can make informed, strategic decisions about AI policies and about investing in AI tools, resources and professional development.
These tools will be ubiquitous as we lead students on their path for college and career readiness. To not train them how to use them productively is a disservice.”
