In the role of superintendent, the ideal candidate will also provide leadership, support professional development and managerial oversight to the instructional program and school operations to ensure a school climate that fosters the educational development of each pupil.

The Township of Franklin School District is seeking an interim superintendent to inspire, lead, guide, and direct every member of the administrative, instructional, and support services staff in setting and achieving the highest standard of excellence and to oversee and administer the use of all district facilities, property, and funds with a maximum of efficiency and a minimum of waste so that each student enrolled in the district may be provided with an appropriate and effective education.

The successful candidate in our Superintendent search will enhance our District’s focus on student achievement, and will have demonstrated success in supporting an innovative curriculum and a strong Special Education program. We are looking for candidates who have experience in strategic planning, and who are skilled in budgeting and prudent resource allocation to provide our students with an optimal learning experience.

NJ School Administrator Certificate or CE is required. Prior successful superintendent experience preferred. Successful K-8 teaching experience is preferred, and a background in Special Education is desired.
