Senior Executive Assistant

The New Jersey School Boards Association, a nonpartisan, state-created federation of boards of education that provides mandated governance training to 580 public school districts and the trustees representing the majority of the state’s charter schools, is seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to the Executive Director/CEO to join its team.

The successful candidate will manage the schedule and communications of the Executive Director/CEO and ensure the efficient operation of the Executive Office.

 

Major duties include:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for Executive Director/CEO.
  • Develop and monitor the annual budget for the executive office.
  • Assist the Association’s officers and Executive Director/CEO as needed with expense reports, scheduling meetings, meeting preparation and other duties as assigned.
  • Compose and send emails/letters on behalf of Executive Director/CEO as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director/CEO.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as an administrative assistant
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Preferred: Previous c-level experience as an executive assistant for a company, corporation, or association
  • Preferred: Experience with social media platforms

Minimum salary $90,000.

The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and be skilled at conflict resolution, organization, priority-setting and multi-tasking. Must be available to work evenings and weekends, as required.
