ACES

The Alliance for Competitive Energy Services (ACES) has saved school districts more than $250 million on energy bills over the last decade by leveraging electricity and natural gas procurement efforts. Since 1999, the Alliance for Competitive Energy Services (ACES) has procured electricity and natural gas at discounted prices for New Jersey schools. With approximately 550 member school districts, the Alliance for Competitive Energy Services (ACES) is the largest energy aggregation program in the state.   ACES provides access to energy that is both cleaner and less expensive and is the first program of its kind in the state of New Jersey.

Membership in ACES is a dues-based benefit of NJSBA membership. Check to see if your district or school belongs to ACES.

ACESplus

In 2014, the ACES program was expanded to include ACESplus, which makes it easy to engage the expert consulting support needed to implement advanced clean energy projects — typically at no upfront cost to the district.  ACESplus projects can provide cost savings, reduce carbon footprint, and improve energy infrastructure performance.  ACESplus provides districts with customized support on a variety of energy services including solar and renewable energy; energy efficiency and sustainability planning; energy storage and resiliency; demand reduction; and other measures. ACESplus consultants provide the expertise, experience, and support needed to make advanced energy projects happen – getting the right project done, the right way.
