The New Jersey School Boards Association is pleased to announce the return of “The Boardroom” podcast, hosted by Dr. Timothy Purnell, executive director and CEO of the Association. A new episode will air live on Wednesday, Jan. 10 from 12 – 1 p.m.
As part of Purnell’s ongoing mission to be a resource for board members, the updated version of “The Boardroom” will feature a live Q&A session between Purnell, his guest and members. Conveniently aired during lunchtime, listeners are encouraged to call in and ask questions.
Each episode will feature a senior NJSBA staff member who has vast knowledge of the episode’s topic. This episode’s guest is Marcia Lavigne, director of professional learning at NJSBA. Together, Purnell and Lavigne will dive into the topic, “Understanding Mandated Training Compliance and Supporting Newly Elected Members.”
Learn more about all things mandated training, including compliance intricacies, consequences of noncompliance, practical guidance for completing mandated training and much more. Both newly elected and veteran board members are welcome to join the discussion.
