Members of the Sussex County School Boards Association met Oct. 11 at the Newton Country Club, where they heard a special presentation on school district safety and security.
Sgt. James Bambarra of the New Jersey State Police; Sgt. Aldo Leone of the Sussex County Prosecutors Office; Detective Marty Lewis of the SCPO’s High Tech Crimes Unit; Detective David Spence of the SCPO’s High Tech Crimes Unit; and Detective Andrew Moore of Threats and Security presented the program.
An array of other important business was conducted at the meeting, with NJSBA staff providing updates on Workshop; NJSBA Connection, a centralized hub where school leaders can collaborate on projects and initiatives; governmental relations initiatives and more.
Ray Pinney, the NJSBA’s lead director of member training and engagement, was also on hand to introduce one of the Association’s newest employees, Kelly Mitchell, who is a field service representative for Passaic and Sussex counties.
