The spring issue of School Leader, the quarterly magazine published by the New Jersey School Boards Association, features an array of articles to help school districts navigate challenges.
The cover story highlights tutoring, which is increasingly being used to accelerate learning in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. The magazine shines a spotlight on programs in Barnegat and Bloomfield as well as the New Jersey Tutoring Corps, which offers a turnkey program to districts.
The issue also examines how school districts are incorporating wellness centers into their facilities to support the academic and emotional health of students. Readers will also learn about Paterson’s Confidence Closet program, which provides hygiene products to students and received a big boost with a massive donation from Colgate-Palmolive.
Additional articles focus on how schools can teach students about digital citizenship and Bound Brook High School’s award-winning career and work-based learning program.
