The school community is urged to take note of Gov. Phil Murphy’s Youth Engagement Week: “Engaging Today Brings Change Tomorrow,” from March 21 to March 25.
The governor’s office will host a series of virtual forums on various topics identified by youth organizations and leaders throughout the state. Staff from a variety of agencies will share information and resources and answer questions.
Certain sessions have been intentionally scheduled for 4 p.m., so high school students can join after school. There will be various sessions at other times that educators may consider allowing students to participate in as they relate to government and civics. Those who lead school organizations and clubs are encouraged to spread the word about the event.
Registration details will be available soon.
Questions can be directed to Kelly.Watson@nj.gov or Outreach@nj.gov.
