Registration is now open for the 6th Annual New Jersey Convening for Diversifying the Teacher Workforce, which will further a conversation among educational stakeholders aimed at creating and sustaining an educator workforce reflective of the cultural and linguistic diversity of New Jersey students.
This year’s theme is “Retaining a Diverse Workforce: Teachers are Talking. Are You Listening?”
Free virtual sessions will be held Oct. 17 and Oct. 24. An in-person session will be held Nov. 2 at Georgian Court University in Lakewood and costs $25.
This series of meetings is designed to engage stakeholders and constituents on understanding how school culture and climate can support and affirm a diverse teacher workforce.
The meetings are sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Education, the New Jersey Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. They are hosted by Georgian Court University.
