The New Jersey School Boards Association joins parents, students and the nation in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week, May 2 to May 6.
The National PTA has a host of resources to help thank teachers on its website, including thank you cards, a coloring activity and more.
“Teacher Appreciation Week recognizes the special interaction that takes place between teacher and student,” said Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod, executive director at NJSBA. “But make no mistake: We must support our teachers every single day — not only for one week. Throughout the year, every decision made by a school board or administrator should be based on helping teachers effectively work with students.”
