The New Jersey Department of Education’s Office of Special Education will host a Summer Learning Institute through the Learning Resource Center network to, in part, empower educators with the knowledge and support to meet the needs of a wide range of learners to support The New Jersey Partnership for Student Success.
NJPSS is a statewide effort focused on supporting students, families and educators with the goal of realizing academic gains, increasing graduation rates, reducing chronic absenteeism and improving student well-being and mental health.
The first summer event will be Monday, June 12, 2023, according to an NJDOE special broadcast.
What Is Offered as Part of the Summer Learning Institute?
Professional Development: The goal of the Summer Learning Institute is to provide educators, families and other stakeholders with the technical assistance, professional learning opportunities and access to instructional resources necessary for students with Individualized Education Programs to achieve their established goals. More than 20 sessions will be offered, available through both in-person and online programming.
