James Sena, a former president of the Warren Township Board of Education in Somerset County, died at home March 5. He was 66 years old.
Born and raised in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, he lived in New Providence before settling in Warren 26 years ago.
A dedicated family man to his wife and daughters, they enjoyed travel, sports, the outdoors, and time together. He loved dining out while enjoying a good bottle of wine, golfing and his weekly fitness program. He was an amateur photographer and an avid football fan and never missed a Green Bay Packers game. He gave his time to the community as a member of the Lions Club and a past member of the Warren Township Board of Education, including serving as president. While on the board, his top priorities included school security, a robust student education in science and fiscal responsibility.
After 25 years in investment banking, he spent the last 15 years of his career as a personal financial planner with Allied Wealth Partners, helping individuals, families and small business owners.
He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene; his two daughters, Rachael and Morgan; and his sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Bob Adell. He will also be deeply missed by his nephew, Alex, and his wife Susan, along with their sons, Grant and Clark, as well as his niece, Dana, and her husband Ted – along with their daughters, Maddie and Hannah.
