You still have time to encourage students to apply science, technology, engineering, arts and math to solve big problems by participating in the 2022 STEAM Tank Challenge.
The deadline to apply for the program has been extended to Dec. 23, 2021.
In its sixth year, the STEAM Tank design challenge empowers teams of K-12 public school students in New Jersey to work collaboratively to identify and develop innovative solutions in categories such as climate change, entrepreneurship, public safety and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Created and sponsored by the New Jersey School Boards Association and the U.S. Army, the challenge gives students the chance to design solutions to make the country sustainable, healthy, equitable and safe. This year’s competition encourages them to use the digital environment to be creative, solve problems and inspire others.
