Workshop 2023 is less than one week away!
If you are new to Workshop or are excited to come back to the Atlantic City Convention Center, here are some things you can do to make the most of your Workshop experience.
- Celebrate New Jersey’s talented students. Workshop 2023 will feature singing, dancing, acting and more from brilliant students from schools throughout New Jersey. Review the line-up. Stop by the Student Film Showcase for screenings of “the Best of the Fest” student films, featured at the 2023 Garden State Film Festival. View the schedule. Visit the Student Art Gallery, which includes artwork recognized for excellence by prestigious art programs, competitions and K-12 exhibits from around the state. Workshop will also feature inventive student robotics programs on the exhibit floor.
As a testament to student achievement, Nilanjana Ghosh, the student representative on the New Jersey State Board of Education, will speak Tuesday at 10 a.m. on the Partners in Education Stage to deliver an inspiring address.
- Watch the STEAM Tank Finals. This year, the top three finalists in the elementary and middle school divisions are facing off live! The elementary school division will showcase innovative ideas Tuesday, Oct. 24, with the middle school division competing Wednesday, Oct. 25. Both finals take place at 9:30 a.m. at the STEAM Tank Stage.
- Visit all the new floor features. Workshop 2023 will feature new exhibit floor features. Some of these include NJSBA’s Super Quiz Show, an opportunity to test your knowledge on all things impacting boardsmanship; our new BOARDWalk, featuring photo opps, games and more; and the Power Skills arena, offering sessions to help you unleash your untapped leadership powers.
- Recognize the best in education at the awards ceremonies. Workshop will recognize the School Board Member of the Year, regional Superintendents of the Year, School Business Administrator of the Year, and Teacher of the Year during the NJSBA/NJASA/NJASBO awards ceremony on Tuesday at 11 a.m. and the Unsung Superheroes in Education at an awards ceremony on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Both events take place at the Partners in Education stage. - Have fun exploring the exhibit floor! Join in on a new Treasure Hunt hosted on the Workshop mobile app. Explore the conference and complete tasks to earn exclusive prizes!
- Check out the featured speakers. Monday at Workshop will feature Gian Paul Gonzalez, youth education and wellness expert and founder and director of the Hope + Future Foundation, and Dr. Joseph J. Soporowski, co-founder of Sustainable Education Associates. On Tuesday, Acting Commissioner for the New Jersey Department of Education, Dr. Angelica Allen-McMillan, will speak. On Wednesday, Olympian and World Cup Champion Carli Lloyd will deliver her highly-anticipated keynote address. Learn about the keynote speakers.

- Training, training, and more training. Workshop will host nearly 300 professional development sessions, including NJSBA mandated training. Review the agenda online, or download the app to create your schedule.

Register for Workshop 2023 The group rate of $2,200 covers 25 team members and may include: the school board, business administrator, superintendent, facilities managers, curriculum professionals, IT staff, principals, human resource professionals and other district staff.
