The National School Public Relations Association recently released an array of resources to help its members and their school districts and organizations celebrate Public Schools Week, which is Feb. 27 to March 3.
Each year, district leaders, specialists, teacher educators, parents and school board members come together with the Learning First Alliance to celebrate Public Schools Week, a time to show the strength — and potential — of our nation’s public schools and our students’ futures.
This year, the celebration is part of a larger campaign: #HerefortheKids, which aims to bring together families, educators and community members to shine a light on local public schools and tell the stories of the amazingly positive things happening in classrooms and school buildings nationwide.
In an effort to encourage school districts to share those messages and to celebrate Public Schools Week, the NSPRA shared the following resources:
- Social media toolkit.
- Graphics (social media and more).
- Customizable Canva templates (square version 1 and square version 2; horizontal version 1 and horizontal version 2).
- Sample press release.
In addition to helping your district celebrate the week, the NSPRA shared news about some events that school officials and other school leaders may be interested in attending.
