In New Jersey, students of color make up 56% of the state’s student population, while only 16% of our educator workforce are individuals of color. Culturally affirming practices in the classroom and throughout a school district allow students to feel seen, valued, and respected for their unique cultural identities. Establishing this healthy learning culture begins with the school board. Join Arts Ed NJ for an introduction to how culture impacts you as an individual, your relationships, and your district. This session is also an introduction to a free eight-week culturally responsive Workout that starts January 20, 2025.
