The Office of Special Education issued its quarterly broadcast, which highlights various tools and resources recently made available to the public through the OSE website. Each resource is curated with equity, diversity, empowerment and improved student outcomes in mind.
The following resources and websites can now be accessed:
- New Community of Practice offerings for the 2024-2025 school year (Registration Deadline: Aug. 2, 2024).
- Release of the Summer Learning Institute 2024 website and offerings.
- The theme is “Progress through Partnerships” which includes collaboration across over 40 sessions in partnership with over 20 organizations. Events will take place from July 8-July 26 in both virtual and in-person modalities hosted at each of the Learning Resource Centers.
- Release of the Educational Planning Guide for Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, in both printable and fillable formats.
- 1st Annual Autism Acceptance Virtual Art Expo in celebration of Autism Acceptance Month with the theme “What’s in a Dream?”
- The Local Special Education Profiles and Determinations (released on May 31, 2024), including:
- Fifteen one-page resource documents for each of the indicators.
- Two newly released funding resources:
- Two additional e-learning opportunities that can be used for on-demand professional development:
- “Spelling 101: An Introduction to English.”
- “Autism Program Quality Indicators – Revised (Part 1).”
