The New Jersey School Boards Association’s Fall Labor Summit is just around the corner!

Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, for this comprehensive one-day event designed to provide school board members, administrators and human resources professionals with essential updates and insights on the latest developments in labor relations.

Kathy Whalen, the Association’s legal counsel/HR professional, will offer timely insights into recent legal developments and case law that have significant implications for labor relations practices in schools. She will highlight recent decisions from both federal and state courts, and provide practical takeaways for attorneys, administrators and board members.

In addition to this legal update, NJSBA’s Fall Labor Summit will feature a governmental relations/legislative update; the latest data trends and labor market insights; a guide to contract negotiations; best practices for managing public relations during labor disputes, ensuring transparency and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.

This program runs from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., with registration opening at 8:30 a.m. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. The fee for members is $149 and $298 for non-members. This program offers three Board Member Academy credits.
