“Education Matters,” a New Jersey School Boards Association podcast hosted by Ray Pinney, lead director of member training and engagement at the Association, will air a new episode June 18 at 3:30 p.m., which will focus on how to make student representatives part of the school board team.

In a previous Education Matters podcast, the student representative on the Verona Board of Education, Reese Sahadow, shared how much she enjoyed the experience. She told Pinney and listeners that she felt like she contributed positively to the school board.

In the upcoming episode, Diane DiGiuseppe, the district’s superintendent; and Pamela Priscoe, president of the Verona Board of Education, will delve into the onboarding process and the relationship between the student representative and the board and administration. Learn how they ensured a positive experience for the student representative on the board.
