Join your colleagues and school law experts Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024, for the Fall School Law Forum, held at the New Jersey School Boards Association’s annual Workshop conference in Atlantic City. The program will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

The Fall School Law Forum will offer a full day of timely and important presentations. Practicing school board attorneys will share research and their own experiences in addressing the latest court decisions, administrative rulings, statutes and codes that affect public education and school district governance. Session topics include:

  • NJSBA’s School Law Case and Legislative Review.
  • OPRA – Advanced Topics.
  • Special Education.
  • Cell Phones in Schools.
  • Creative Teacher Shortage Solutions.
  • First Amendment – Are Public Schools Becoming the Town Square?
  • School Funding and Regionalization.
  • Threat Assessments.
  • Legal Ethics for School Attorneys: The Year in Review.

Registration Details The member fee is $299, and the non-member fee is $598. The Fall School Law Forum offers three Board Member Academy credits and 7.2 Continuing Legal Education credits (pending). Register here.

Registration for the Fall School Law Forum is separate from that of Workshop 2024 and must be handled by your school business administrator. If your district is registered for Workshop 2024, your business administrator has received a special discount code. Ask them to register you and your team using that code.
