The New Jersey School Boards Association, a nonpartisan, state-created federation of boards of education that provides mandated governance training to 580 public school districts and the trustees representing the majority of the state’s charter schools, is seeking a senior executive assistant to the executive director/CEO to join its team.

The successful candidate will manage the schedule and communications of the executive director/CEO and ensure the efficient operation of the executive office.

Major duties include:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for executive director/CEO.
  • Develop and monitor the annual budget for the executive office.
  • Assist the Association’s officers and executive director/CEO as needed with expense reports, scheduling meetings, meeting preparation and other duties as assigned.
  • Compose and send emails/letters on behalf of executive director/CEO as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by executive director/CEO.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as an administrative assistant.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Preferred: Previous c-level experience as an executive assistant for a company, corporation, or association.
  • Preferred: Experience with social media platforms.

The minimum salary for this position is $90,000.
