The New Jersey School Boards Association is seeking a quality control professional to support the deputy director and to collaborate with senior directors to enhance cross-departmental processes, evaluate standard operating procedures, eliminate redundancies and address challenges that could impact the Association and its mission. This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing member satisfaction data, providing insights to improve NJSBA’s programs and services, and ensuring compliance with internal standards. The position will report to the deputy director.
Key Responsibilities
Process Streamlining
- Collaborate with senior directors to improve systems and processes.
- Implement new strategies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration.
- Monitor and adjust the effectiveness of newly implemented processes.
- Maintain and update an organizational chronology (CHRON).
Evaluation of Standard Operating Procedures
- Regularly review and update SOPs to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Work with departments to revise SOPs as needed.
Member Surveys and Annual Report
- Collect and assess feedback through member surveys.
- Analyze survey results and provide recommendations to executive leadership.
- Prepare an annual NJSBA member report, including statistical data and ROI measurement.
Internal Controls Review
- Conduct periodic reviews of internal controls for compliance and effectiveness.
- Document findings and support implementation of enhanced control measures.
Training and Communication
- Develop and conduct training on internal controls and SOPs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Present findings and updates to the executive leadership and at NJSBA member meetings.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the executive director/CEO and/or deputy director.
Qualifications
- Experience in systems or organizational change is preferred.
- Proficiency in flowchart development and process mapping.
- Post-bachelor’s degree coursework preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong technical skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong writing, presentation and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
