For the first time, the state fiscal year 2025 budget fully funds the school aid formula under the School Funding Reform Act, completing a seven-year phase-in plan designed in partnership with the New Jersey Legislature.

The New Jersey Department of Education invites educators and other members of the public to comment on the state’s school funding law, according to an advisory. Anyone interested in submitting comments can register to speak at one of four regional hearings to be held in December and January, or submit written comments using the forms available on the NJDOE’s SFRA Outreach page.
