We eagerly await the first Passaic County SBA hybrid meeting of the 2024-2025 school year on Wednesday, September 25. The program topic is ``Effectively Planning and Financing a Referendum to Maximize Impact on Tax Levy. ``This program will delve into various aspects of planning and publicizing a referendum, as well as post-passage financing and maximizing impact on the town's tax levy. The panel will include Dr. Mark Toback, superintendent of Wayne Township School District; Ahmed Shehata, assistant superintendent of business and board secretary for the Clifton School District; Bryan Morris, director of Phoenix Advisors, LLC; Laura Bishop, managing director; Laura Bishop Communications, and Stephen R. Fogarty, partner, Fogarty & Hara, Esq. A unique panel of participants can discuss many areas of the referendum's planning and execution.The meeting will include reports from the Passaic County SBA Executive Committee Members, a preview of Workshop 2024: Quest for Student Success, an Advocacy Update from the NJSBA Advocacy Team, and a Field Services update from NJSBA field service representative Kelly Mitchell.We invite all Board of Education Members, Superintendents, and Business Administrators from across New Jersey to participate in person at Mario's Restaurant and Pizzeria in Clifton or virtually.
