• Governor Signs Executive Order Lifting COVID-19 Public Health Emergency

  Gov. Phil Murphy announced the signing of Executive Order No. 292 at a March 4 media briefing, which lifts the COVID-19 public health emergency in addition to the statewide school and daycare mask mandate, effective March 7.

• James Sena, Former President of Warren Township Board, Dies

  James Sena, a former president of the Warren Township Board of Education in Somerset County, died at home March 5. He was 66 years old.

• NJSBA Executive Director Search Underway

  The NJSBA's Executive Director Search Committee has been formed and has taken its first steps toward finding a replacement for Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod, who is retiring as the Association’s executive director.
