The Center for Green Schools, the Collaborative for High Performance Schools, the Association of School Business Officials and the National Rural Education Association are working together to create grant writing tools and provide direct coaching for school districts to use to apply for a U.S. EPA Environmental and Climate Justice Community Change Grant, according to an announcement.

The tools and grant writing templates allow school districts to more quickly understand the requirements and collect the information they need to apply. The first districts that decide to pursue this opportunity will be given free consulting hours with a professional grant writer as they finalize their application.

Applications for this grant are being accepted on a rolling basis until Nov. 21, 2024. The deadline for requesting EPA-provided technical assistance for an application, which is complementary to the grant-writing support the organizations are providing, is Aug. 16, 2024.
