This webinar will dive into conversations you should be having at this time of year including, but not limited to: the end-of-year budget (Board Secretary Report), which includes revenues, appropriations, fund balance, outstanding purchase orders and special revenue (federal grants); the 2024-2025 budget, covering enrollment, staffing, tuitions, transportation, revenues, special revenue and facilities (complete the facility checklist). A comprehensive review of these items will give a good indication of what the next budget cycle will look like.

How to Effectively Implement Cybersecurity Solutions Within Your District | Thursday, Aug. 15 at 1 p.m.

This eye-opening session will be an engaging and inspiring webinar focused on the latest developments in cybersecurity for K-12. The damaging effects of cybersecurity attacks are no joke. Schools in particular are vulnerable, as incidents — whether deliberate or accidental — can severely disrupt education and critical operations, as well as expose sensitive student, teacher and staff data, all of which can lead to high recovery costs. Schools can and should take necessary actions to prevent any type of cyberthreat or attack. This webinar will focus on current and future regulations that will impact schools. It will also provide a roadmap for schools, so they can take the necessary steps to protect students, teachers and staff — and it will share how to prepare for external audits, as these become more frequent (and necessary).
